FAQ
Good questions.
Everything about the plates, the ritual and getting them to your celebration.
Product
What are Greek smash plates?
Plates made specifically to be broken at a celebration. They're used for the Greek tradition of plate smashing at weddings, parties and nights out, so you get the moment without sacrificing your dinnerware.
What sizes do you make?
Two: SmashLite, a 6" plate made for handing to every guest, and SmashPrime, a full 8" plate for the headline moments.
What colours do the plates come in?
Every plate comes in white, red, blue and green. White is the standard price; red, blue and green are ₹5 more per plate. Choose the colour on the product page, or change it in your cart. You can mix colours in one order.
Can I get plates with my own design?
Yes. For your names and date, a logo or your own colours, send us a custom design request. If you'd like something else made altogether, ask for a custom build. We'll reply with what's possible, the price and timing.
How are Shatterix plates different from regular plates?
Regular dinnerware is made to survive being dropped. Ours are pre-scored and engineered to break on impact, so they shatter with the sound and spectacle the moment deserves.
Safety
Is plate smashing safe?
Breaking anything creates fragments, so treat it like any celebration with a little chaos in it: smash downwards onto a hard floor, keep a clear zone, wear closed shoes, and keep children and pets back. Our safety page has the full guide.
Who is responsible for safe use at my event?
Every order comes with safe-use guidance. As our terms set out, the host is responsible for safe use at the event, and we're happy to help you plan it.
Events
Can I use smash plates at a wedding?
Yes. Weddings are where the tradition shines. Couples use them for the first dance, the entrance or the moment the band kicks in. Engagements, birthdays, corporate nights and Greek-themed celebrations work just as well.
How many plates do I need?
A good rule is one to two plates per guest who'll join in. Orders start at 10 plates; from 500 plates we quote you a better bulk price.
Why do Greeks smash plates?
Plate smashing is an expression of joy and abundance. It's linked to warding off bad luck and has grown into a spirited way to celebrate weddings and big nights, usually with a loud “Opa!”.

Do you charge for delivery?
No. Delivery is free across India.
How long does delivery take?
Every order is made for you and dispatched within 2–3 days, bulk orders too. Delivery time after dispatch depends on your city, so order well before your event.
How do the plates survive shipping?
They travel in shock-absorbent packaging designed for plates that are made to break, so they arrive intact and ready for the party.
Orders
What is the minimum order?
It depends on the plate: SmashPrime from 10 plates and SmashLite from 15, per colour. The exact minimum is shown on each product page.
Do you offer bulk orders?
Yes. For 500 plates or more, we quote you personally with bulk pricing. For weddings, venues, restaurants and planners, request a quote and we'll confirm availability and timing.
What currency are prices in?
All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR).
