Safety
Controlled chaos.
Breaking anything creates fragments. A few minutes of planning keeps the moment joyful for everyone.
Hard floor only
Stone, tile, concrete or a hard dance floor. Not carpet or grass, where fragments are hard to find.
Mark a clear zone
Keep tables, drinks and bystanders out. Smash in rows for big groups.
Throw down, never at
Plates go onto the floor in front of you, never towards people, the band or the couple.
Closed shoes
Everyone in the zone wears closed shoes. No bare feet or open sandals.
Children and pets back
Keep little ones and animals out of the zone, with an adult supervising.
Sweep straight after
Brooms, dustpans and a sturdy bin bag ready before the first plate breaks.
Your responsibility
Every order includes safe-use guidance. As set out in our terms, plate smashing involves fragments and some risk, and the host is responsible for safe use at the event. If you're unsure about your venue, ask us before you order. We're happy to help.
