How many smash plates do I need?
A simple way to work out how many Greek smash plates to order for a wedding, birthday or event, with sizing tips and timing.
Start with who's smashing
Not every guest will want to throw a plate, and that's fine. Count the people you expect to join in: the couple or hosts, the wedding party, family, and the friends who'll be first on the dance floor.
A useful rule of thumb is one to two plates per participant. One each gives everyone their moment; two lets you run a second round later in the night.
Worked examples
Birthday with 30 friends, most joining in: 30–45 plates.
Wedding with 200 guests, roughly half joining in: 100–200 plates.
Venue or restaurant running a weekly Greek night: plan per event, then order in bulk. From 500 plates we quote a better price.
Mix your sizes
SmashLite (6") is made for handing out to everyone. SmashPrime (8") is the full-size plate for the headline smash: the couple, the birthday star, the moment people film. Many hosts order mostly SmashLite plus a few SmashPrime.
Order early
Minimums are per plate and colour, starting at 10 plates. Plates are made to order and dispatched within 2–3 days, bulk included, then travel by courier. If your date is fixed, order with a comfortable buffer.
